Artificial Sweeteners Could Make You Gain Weight
A new study shows what we already knew – eating artificial sweeteners don’t make you skinny. On the contrary, eating them can make you fat.
“The rats that had the saccharin-sweetened yogurt consumed more calories, put on more weight, gained more body fat, and did not cut back on their calorie consumption in the longer term.” Saccharin is also marketed as Sweet’n'Low. Look at what Wikipedia has to say about saccharin – look at the cancer warning labels that used to be required on pop can. Scary stuff. Don’t believe the hype.
